Barnsley has a vibrant town centre, featuring pedestrian precincts with high street stores and the renowned 700 year old market is open five days a week. Barnsley town centre is currently undergoing a major redevelopment project that will create a unique 21st Century market town offering further retail and leisure facilities.

With over 270 stores, Meadowhall shopping centre is a key attraction conveniently located just off junction 34 of the M1 motorway and is one of the most successful shopping centres in the UK. The centre has many cafes and restaurants plus a multiplex cinema, and can be reached in just 15-20 minutes by car. The centre has excellent transport links which include tram, rail and bus. 

And if that isn’t enough Leeds is just a stones throw away up the M1 motorway. With highly rated restaurants, cool independent bars and a clubbing scene that never ends, you could be excused for doing nothing more than shopping, eating or drinking.
