SOCIAL ENTERPRISE BARNSLEY

DEVELOPMENT FUND

DEVELOPMENT FUND

The Development Fund is designed primarily for the creation of social enterprises and to help enterprises move towards sustainability and wealth creation.

Funding is available to test the feasibility of ideas when an enterprise is in its early stages' to develop ideas with professional support and to fund some of the initial revenue costs of getting the enterprise underway. There is an open application process and applications can be submitted at any time during the year.

All applications will be assessed initially by SEB business advisors before being considered by the Development Fund panel. The panel meets every month and the decision will be sent to you in writing. Repeat applications may be made to the fund as long as you are seeking funding for a different item on the list of eligible items. For example, you could apply for funding for a feasibility study and then (assuming the enterprise is proven as feasible) apply for some revenue funding. However, you cannot apply for revenue funding more than once.
