Funding Sources
South Yorkshire was designated European Union Objective 1 status in 2000 - one of only four such areas in the UK. The Objective 1 funding programme provides £1.8 billion of investment for local companies located in, or relocating to, South Yorkshire.

Other key funding sources include:

• Selective Finance for Investment in England, which is specially designed for businesses which are considering relocating to Barnsley but require financial assistance to do so.
  
• South Yorkshire Investment Fund (SYIF) which can supplement your organisation's own finances by offering support such as loans and share capital.
