HIGH-TECH MOVE TO PARK SPRINGS

High-tech, multi-national company A.Hak Industrial Services Ltd recently held an official customer opening day to celebrate their relocation from Dodworth, Barnsley, to a new high quality 5,000 square foot industrial unit on Park Springs strategic employment site, at Grimethorpe. A.Hak is a well-established company specialising in a unique range of pipeline inspection & maintenance and related services, essential to the oil and gas, petrochemical and allied industries.

A.Hak currently employ 18 staff and plan to double the work force within the next five years, with jobs to be created in engineering, administration, sales and project management. Additional staff will also be temporarily employed through local recruitment agencies. When asked what attracted the company to the area, Willem Zuidema, Interim Manager at A.Hak said, “We have clients all over the UK and Park Springs is an ideal location, as it is very central with easy access to the M1 and A1 in a matter of minutes”.



Yorkshire Forward developed the unit, which is one of four built on the Park Springs Site. At A.Hak’s customer opening day David Hope, Asset Manager at Yorkshire Forward welcomed the company adding, “ We are delighted to have attracted this expanding company to our Park Springs Development, and look forward to new jobs being created in the future”.

BDA’s Chief Executive, John Penney described the move as, “Yet another significant step in the increasing pace of recovery of the Grimethorpe area; this all contributes to the overall local regeneration strategy, which aims to bring new jobs and stimulate investment at a local level.”
