Social Media for Employers
Barnsley employers are invited to learn more about what their employees are saying about them at a unique event in January. Social Media & the Workplace is an opportunity for employers and small business owners to understand how social media is being used by their workforce and how this can be managed rather than feared! The event includes presentations by legal expert Liesel Whitfield of Employment Lawyers Irwin Mitchell, Creative and Digital Sector Specialist Tracey Johnson of Barnsley Development Agency and a social media surgery with a selection of experts to give some practical hints and tips. The event is now sold out, but anyone interested can register on the waitlist in case a space becomes available.
The event is part of Barnsley Development Agency's Enterprising Barnsley programme of HR events funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Previous events have included employment law, pensions, recruitment and performance management.
Host Judy Sidebottom, HR Business Consultant at Barnsley Development Agency commented: "We are aiming to deliver events that are interesting, informative and most importantly useful for local employers. Social media is an area that is of increasing interest to the companies we work with whether for practical reasons or policy. This event will help to demystify this topic and give some practical support."
