Nationwide Solar expands
South Yorkshire-based solar panel business Nationwide Solar has expanded into new premises after a number of contract wins this year.
In the past six months, Nationwide Solar said it has agreed deals with local authorities and housing associations, as well as increasing its business significantly with the private domestic sector. To meet demand, the business has created 52 jobs. It is also looking to further expand its telesales team.
The company has acquired an additional 6,000 sq ft office building on Wentworth Industrial Park in Tankersley, Barnsley, close to its sister company A Shade Greener. The company has also secured office and warehousing space on Shortwood Industrial Park in Barnsley to cater to growing demand for its solar panel installations.
"This is a really exciting time for our business, as there is huge demand in the market for our high quality solar panel installations," said sales and marketing director Alix Fellows.
"Many homeowners and local authorities are recognising that they can take advantage of a guaranteed income for 25 years from their roofs and a major reduction on their electricity bills."
