Barnsley based plant hire company E.J. Lidster are to further expand their operations with the construction of a high quality 19,000 sq. ft. industrial unit in Monk Bretton, Barnsley.

Located in close proximity to Barnsley town centre and approximately 5 miles from the M1, junction 37, the new development on Burton Road Business Park consists of 19 industrial units. Constructed of brick and Kingspan, each unit includes roller shutter door access and three phase electrics, with gas available on site if required. Units will be available for taking from 1000 sq. ft. up to 4000 sq. ft on a leasehold, easy in easy out basis. Completion and availability is expected in March 2005.

The industrial unit is the first phase of further expansion by E.J.Lidster. Phase two will see the construction of a 16,500 sq. ft. industrial unit on a design and build basis, available as a whole or divisible in half. Other projects include a 12,500 sq. ft. commercial retail development in New Lodge, Athersley. This will comprise the construction of 13 units for office, light industry and retail use with potential for restaurant and licensed premises. Such developments will lead to the welcome creation of further jobs in the borough, demonstrating the company’s huge commitment to the ongoing improvement of the local area.
