INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION CONTRACTORS - ARRIVE IN PARK SPRINGS

International exhibition contracting company NCB Exhibitions Ltd has recently expanded its operations to a 10,000 sq ft unit at Park Springs Business Park, Barnsley.

NCB Exhibition Ltd Directors Ros Rothery and Neil Brand celebrate their move to Park Springs with (from centre to right: RSY’s, Managing Director, Tony Kildare; Priority Sites’ Development Manager, Karen McFarlane and BDA’s, Economic Development Manager, Jeff Pickering.

Originally established in the South of England in 1998 the company designs, manufactures and installs exhibition stands for clients including Bentley Motors, Andrex and BBC Worldwide, at exhibition and conference venues in the UK and across the globe, including Paris and New York. Since arriving in Barnsley, the company has added to the NCB range, creating a high quality stand and exhibition solution aimed at smaller businesses and first time exhibitors. A complete package including stand construction, lighting and AV Equipment hire.

After outgrowing its premises in Sheffield and Dronfield the company needed to consolidate both bases into one operating site. Director Neil Brand explained, “After spending most of 2004 looking round, we revisited the site at Park Springs and felt that the new unit would fit perfectly with the image of our growing company. With a client base ranging from small local customers to worldwide household names, it is essential that we locate in an area with excellent transport links and access to national road networks, airports and freight services. Our clients need us to be able to react instantly and provide extremely short lead times.”

The unit at Park Springs Business Park is part of a recently completed £1.85 million development by Priority Sites, one of the most active commercial developers in England.

Paul Barber, Chief Executive of Priority Sites – the joint venture between The Royal Bank of Scotland and national regeneration agency English Partnerships – said: “We are delighted that the quality of these units and their excellent location is helping to attract companies from outside Barnsley and assisting the economic turnaround of the area. Satisfying the needs of expanding companies has to be good news for the whole of south Yorkshire.”

Tony Kildare, Managing Director of Renaissance South Yorkshire said, “Companies have different needs at different times of their growth and development cycle. In South Yorkshire we have a wide range of sites available so that those changing requirements can be accommodated here to the benefit, not just of the immediate locality where the business is based, but of the region as a whole.”
Ros Rothery, Director of NCB Exhibitions Ltd adds, “The team at Barnsley Development Agency (BDA) have helped and encouraged us during the relocation and have been great.”

BDA’s Economic Development Manager Jeff Pickering concludes, “We are absolutely delighted that NCB Exhibitions Ltd has chosen Barnsley to expand its operations, which is a further vote of confidence for the Barnsley Economy.”
