Rostra UK Ltd, an independent healthcare provider, has recently relocated to Barnsley where they have taken occupancy of an office suite within Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre (BBIC) at Wilthorpe.

Rostra UK Ltd was established to provide an efficient and effective solution to National Health Service patients for the treatment of symptomatic varicose veins. Working in partnership with hospitals, Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and alongside the Governments NHS plans, Rostra UK provide a quality assured service to patients which allows them to offer an appointment, diagnosis, treatment (if suitable) and discharge for 70% of patients within 4 weeks and 100% of patients within 8 weeks of Rostra UK receiving their GP referral letter.
The service provided by Rostra UK offers the valuable opportunity for PCTs to free up much sought after operating theatre and day case surgery capacity for other surgical procedures.
The treatment offered uses the latest available laser technology recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and all services delivered are underpinned by strict clinical governance protocols and formal audit and quality assurance/improvement programmes.

Rostra UK is supported through combined investment from the management, a North East private investor and the Coalfields Enterprise Fund, who specifically offer finance to growth orientated companies in England’s former coalfields.

Following assistance from Barnsley Development Agency (BDA), Rostra UK identified the new office complex within BBIC as being ideal for their business needs. The move took place in April and Rostra have found the accommodation, facilities and reception services to be excellent, making the relocation process a much smoother process. Rostra currently employ a team of three at their BBIC premises but the relocation will allow them to take on additional staff.
