The first new business development in the area in living memory, the park sits on the fringe of the Peak District, mid-way between Huddersfield and Sheffield with Barnsley town centre eight miles east. Phase One of the Marrtree Business Park, Penistone, offers two adjoining industrial warehouse units of 4,000 sq ft and two of 4,500 sq ft, all four offering 10% office content and available on flexible lease terms via sole agents NAI Fuller Peiser, Sheffield. Work will shortly commence on Phase Two, featuring a further two units, each of 3500 sq ft. Commenting on the latest development in Marrtree’s rapidly expanding portfolio, director William Marshall said: “Our Penistone site meets a growing trend for the owners of small and medium-sized enterprises to balance their lifestyles by avoiding extensive commuting and city centre congestion. It’s in an attractive setting with a great transport infrastructure bringing Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire and the Midlands all within reasonable reach.” Launching the site with William, Barnsley Development Agency’s (BDA) business development officer Ann Glews said: “We are delighted that Marrtree have chosen to develop this site at Oxspring. BDA are currently working with NAI Fuller Peiser to bring new companies to this prestigious development, which will create jobs for local people.” Roger Haworth, of NAI Fuller Peiser added: “We’ve already had a lot of enquiries, pre-launch and believe we will have few problems letting Phase One and quickly moving on to Phase Two.” |
