ADVANCED MOVE FOR SUCCESSFUL BARNSLEY COMPANY

The largest Independent UK manufacturer of state of the art fire safety systems, Advanced Electronics Ltd, has recently been named ‘Best New Exporter’ at the prestigious Fire Industry Confederation (FIC) awards.

Advanced Electronics manufacture and market a comprehensive range of control and indicating panels, software and dedicated peripherals for use in Fire Detection, Smoke Control and Emergency Lighting Systems. The company also source and supply system components and if necessary, design and manufacture bespoke products and solutions to meet customer’s specific requirements.

Barnsley is home to the company’s Research and Development Team and has become an engineering ‘Centre of Excellence’. Through on-going investment in technology, facilities, equipment and staff development Advanced Electronics has experienced rapid growth and are now one of the largest manufacturers’ of its type in Europe with customers in 22 countries throughout South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

On going support and assistance has been provided by BDA and Business Link with BDA helping to identify the new unit at Claycliffe Office Park. The company completed the purchase of the 3,100 sq. ft. unit through Smiths Chartered Surveyors.

Andrew Corbett, Commercial Property Director at Smiths Chartered Surveyors commented, “We have been delighted with the response to the development at the Morston Claycliffe Office Park. With only two units left on Phase One the developers Morston Assets Limited are now turning their attention to Phase Two which will consist of a further 34,000 sq. ft. in 5 blocks ranging from 1,510 sq. ft. to 15,000 sq. ft.
