With over 270 stores Meadowhall Shopping Centre is a key attraction conveniently located just off M1 Junction 34 and is one of the most successful shopping centres in the UK. The centre has many cafes and restaurants and a multiplex cinema, and can be reached in just 15-20 minutes by car. The centre has excellent transport links which include tram, rail and bus.
GALLERIES / ARTS / CRAFTS
For cultural inspiration why not visit The Cooper Gallery on Church Street. The Gallery is home to the Cooper Trustees’ collection of 17th to 20th Century paintings, watercolours and drawings by famous artists such as JMW Turner and Henry Moore. Not far away at the Design Centre discover a showcase of National and International Arts & Crafts. In addition, Yorkshire Sculpture Park a few miles north of Barnsley is one of the world's leading open-air galleries.

Barnsley and the South Yorkshire area offer entertainment to suit all tastes. With a diverse selection of venues including mulit-screen cinemas, renowned theatres and two major concert venues (Sheffield Hallam FM Arena and Sheffield City Hall) which regularly host international acts and events, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
SPORT AND LEISURE
