| Innovative and forward thinking company Intelligent Infrastructure Ltd have chosen Barnsley as the home for their new business.
Tom Crowe, Director of Intelligent Infrastructure Ltd at their new premises in Barnsley Intelligent Infrastructure Ltd specialise in the design, installation and commissioning of intelligent home networking technologies ranging from lighting and security systems through to multimedia distribution systems. A communications infrastructure is installed in the house which allows the various systems and devices in the home to communicate with each other. ‘Smart homes’ contain a network which can control systems such as central heating, fire and security alarms, and devices for example televisions and lights, that usually exist in total isolation from each other. The company offer a professional service from inception to completion and can service all the requirements of the modern house builder, property developer or homeowner. Their first contract is with Bright Effects to convert a former Sunday school into a luxury four bedroom residential dwelling and they have assisted with the design of the intelligent systems. Intelligent Infrastructure Ltd chose Mount Osbourne Business Centre as a base as it enjoys an ideal central location to serve Barnsley and the surrounding South Yorkshire area. Director, Tom Crowe adds; “We were mainly attracted to Barnsley as we saw massive opportunities for building new residential properties under the Remaking Barnsley urban renaissance programme, as well as many new housing developments being built in the surrounding region.” Intelligent Infrastructure Ltd is enrolled on Business Link South Yorkshire’s High Growth Start up programme (HGSU), which supports entrepreneurs who want to start up a business in a high growth industry.
