| Woodmoor Court was officially opened on Wednesday 23 February by the Worshipful Mayor, Councillor Roy Miller, who welcomed all the businesses to their new premises.
Woodmoor Court is a collection of small business units ranging from 750sq ft to 1500 sq ft and forms part of a £2.7m development at Wharncliffe Business Park. The site was acquired by Northern Trust Company Ltd as part of their ongoing investment programme in South Yorkshire. Gerry Hamilton, Managing Director at Northern Trust said “Northern Trust are delighted to be making this investment in Barnsley and we are more than happy that all the units have been let to local companies in the area. It is all down to the teamwork between our in-house agents Whittle Jones and Barnsley Development Agency and Chris Rowlands.” Tim Lawton, of Gas Appliance Spares (Barnsley) Ltd said, “We have been extremely happy with our new premises and the feedback from our customers has been very positive.” Gordon Watson, of Syscom Motion Solutions Ltd said, “Image was important to us when choosing new premises and we searched for quite a while to find the right location. Our suppliers and customers have been delighted with our new premises at Woodmoor Court.” Barnsley Development Agency are working closely with many of the occupiers providing help regarding financial assistance and grant availability together with recruitment and training support. Jeff Pickering, Economic Development Manager, said “Woodmoor Court represents a significant investment in Barnsley, the town’s economy and workforce, and we have been extremely pleased to work together with Northern Trust on this development.” |
