NEW OFFICE DEVELOPMENT TO BRING OLD CORN MILL BACK TO LIFE
Booth Brothers are soon to commence work on converting the Old Corn Mill at their premises near Penistone into flexible office accommodation for lease. This builds on the successful letting of refurbished industrial units on the site.

Old Corn Mill building at Bullhouse Mill, Penistone, where development is due to commence January 2005

Situated at Bullhouse Mill in Millhouse Green, the site enjoys a pleasant rural location whilst still being in close proximity to the main A628 Woodhead Road, providing easy access to Barnsley Town Centre, Manchester and Sheffield. The site also boasts substantial allocated car parking spaces, excellent security and room for HGV access.

During 2004, Booth Brothers refurbished approximately 20,000 sq. ft of former manufacturing space in order to create a mixed development of high quality office, warehouse and industrial accommodation. International companies such as Zenon Environmental (UK) Ltd and Reichenbacher Hamuel GmbH were attracted to the site as well as local companies Bryella Soft Furnishings and Nigel Tyas Ironwork.

The last remaining 3100 sq. ft unit comprises 775 sq. ft office space and 2325 sq. ft warehousing and is currently available to let.

Following the success of the first phase, a second development is to take place that will see the conversion of the attractive natural stone Old Corn Mill building into flexible office space with panoramic views over the River Don and surrounding countryside. This is to comprise three floors with lift access and will be available for letting as a whole or from 1500 sq. ft. per floor. Work is due to commence January 2005 with completion and availability expected in late Spring 2005.

Charles Booth, Director of Booth Brothers said, "The recent developments at Bullhouse Mill have proved an attractive location for businesses relocating to the Barnsley area. With the pro-active assistance of the Barnsley Development Agency we have obtained a number of high quality enquiries to both the remaining unit and forthcoming developments but we welcome any further interest from potential tenants".
